Wokingham Music Club was founded in April 2012 by Stan Hetherington, with the aim to bring live music to Wokingham. Since then, it has grown and now has around twenty live music events per year, which take place at either The Whitty Theatre, Wokingham or The Royal British Legion, Winnersh. These events feature original artists, along with high quality tributes and cover bands.
From April 2025, the logistics of organising and managing Wokingham Music Club have been taken over by Wokingham Lions Club as part of their ongoing arrangement of activities for the benefit of the local community. All funds raised from Wokingham Music Club events run by Wokingham Lions Club will go to help charities and good causes, mostly in the local Wokingham area.
