The Wokingham Lions Wokingham Winter Carnival is a FUN day out for the whole family – the town is closed to traffic for the day, so children can join in the fun in a totally safe environment.
There’s a whole host of street entertainers, music, singing, dancing and the fun of the fair with loads of different rides, whether you’re young or old – and for lunch there are stalls offering an amazing choice of food and drink.
There are stalls selling gifts too, so why not get your Christmas shopping sorted?

The event is run to raise much needed funds for local charities.

⛄️ It’s Wokingham Winter Carnival day!!
We’ve been working all morning to get ready to open from 10:30 through to 17:30.
The Winter Carnival is a great way to start celebrating Christmas and the Festive Season – this is a free to enter fun day out!
There are lots of options for transport to the event:
If travelling from within Wokingham Borough you can ride the bus for free on Carnival day – and all weekends before Christmas in December. Details here: www.wokingham.gov.uk/news/2025/bus-travel-will-be-free-across-borough-2025-festive-season
Details on all Wokingham Town Centre car parks run by Wokingham Borough Council are here: www.wokingham.gov.uk/parking-and-transport/parking-and-permits/find-car-park. All car parks are open – but note that Denmark St car park can only be reached from the Dukes Head end.
Wokingham Station is 5 minutes walk from the Winter Carnival. Details on their car park is here: www.nationalrail.co.uk/stations/wokingham/ Note that there is a replacement bus service running on Sunday.

Don’t forget – there will be road closures and parking suspensions in Wokingham Town Centre for the Wokingham Winter Carnival tomorrow, Sunday 30th Nov.
This is to make way for over 150 stalls, entertainment, music, fairground rides, food, drink and lots more across Peach St, Peach Place, Broad St, Denmark St and through to Elms Field! The Carnival is one of Wokingham’s biggest events – don’t miss it!
The fun starts at 10:30am and runs all day through to our grand finale with carols, tree switch on and lasers before the event ends at 5:30pm. Details in our programme which you can download now!

The Wokingham Winter Carnival is this Sunday 30th November 2025 – and we have a decent weather forecast for it!
A free to enter fun day out, the Winter Carnival is a great way to start celebrating Christmas and the Festive Season!
The Winter Carnival is held throughout the town centre, including Denmark Street, Market Place, Peach Street, Broad Street, Rose Street, Peach Place and into Elms Field.
The official start is 11:00am, but stalls and rides will be open from 10:30. Many of the ever-popular attractions will be back including the fairground rides (charges apply), all day entertainment on the stage in Market Place, plus street entertainment around the town.
Over 150 stalls have booked to be at Wokingham Winter Carnival, and will include craft stalls, food stalls and charity stalls, giving many small businesses and local charities an opportunity to raise their profiles and some much-needed funds.
The day will culminate at 4:30pm in the switching on of the Wokingham Christmas Lights, followed by singing and Community Carols. At 5:00pm, there will be a stunning Laser Show in the Market Place, which will provide a wonderful finale to the Wokingham Winter Carnival 2025.
