Wokingham Lions Club makes regular donations to support the work of local charities from the funds we raise from running local events. We also contribute around 10% of what we raise to LCIF, the Lions Club International Foundation.
Support to Families & Individuals
We are very happy to receive requests for support. This may be from a local group, a charity supporting an individual who needs help, a referral from social/welfare services or an individual who is struggling and needs our services. We may require more details and sometimes further information about on-going support, but we always help if we can. In the first instance please get in touch here.
Golden Awards
Our Golden Awards Scheme started in 2024, the 50th Anniversary of the Club. The scheme is continuing to run, in it we continue our spirit of giving with awards of £500 each to support local charities and community organisations that wish to start a new initiative and need help with funding.
If you are involved with a local charity or community group that you think would qualify for a Golden Award then please complete an application form.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us at De Vere Wokefield Estate and helped us raise an amazing £33,000 for Daisy’s Dream!

One of the charities supported by the Wokingham Classic Motor Show in June were Meningitis Now - and we were pleased to recently present them with a cheque for £2,500 at RIDEWORX, one of our main sponsors.
Meningitis Now is the UK's leading meningitis charity, created from the first meningitis patient group in the world, and the founder of the meningitis movement. Over their 40-year history, they have invested over £12.7m in early-stage research that has played a critical part in the introduction of five life-saving vaccines.
